Competing in the Multipurpose Tourism Segment implies having more specialised human capital, mainly in the Metropolitan region and surrounding areas; the construction of a varied offer that takes advantage of global trends, such as rural and gastronomic tourism, sustainable and adventure travel, among others, as well as the planning of complex routes that take advantage of both the territories and attractions of the region.

On the other hand, the integration of technology and e-commerce to attract customers through timely communication of the region's tourism offer is imperative. Therefore, a comprehensive marketing strategy must be developed to boost tourism in the region.
